Used to prevent and treat iron-deficiency anemia and fat-soluble vitamin deficiencies in piglets, calves and lambs.
Elemental iron is slowly released from its dextran complex and actively induces biosynthesis of hemoglobin, tissue enzymes and replenishes iron stores. Vitamin A is important for the growth and maintenance of healthy mucous membranes and skin, which will maximize the resistance of animals to infection. It is also of importance for bone ossification together with vitamin D3, which controls the calcification processes. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant and is involved in the transformation of energy in the muscles. It also improves the tolerance of piglets to iron.
Give by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection into the anterior half of the neck.
- Piglets: 1-2 ml at 3 days of age.
- Lambs, calves: 1-5 ml.
Note: Do not inject more than 5 ml per injection site
