Each ml contains:
Bromhexine hydrochloride............1.5 mg
Exp.qs (ginseng, licorice)........................1ml
As an aid the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases in cats.
Directly oral administration, as the following doses: 1 ml/ 2 kg BW, once daily in 7-10 days.
PHARMACOLOGY PROPERTIES:
Bromhexine is a mucolytic with two main pharmacological actions. Firstly, it stimulates an increase in the secretion of fluid by the mucus glands of the respiratory tract. Secondly, it breaks down the network of acid mucopolysaccharide fibers found in mucoid sputum, which are mainly responsible for the characteristic viscosity. As a result, viscosity is easily out of the respiratory tract and that increases mucociliary clearance in respiratory diseases.
Ginseng has antiinflammatory property through the inhibition of mediate inflammatory agents such as IL-6, IL-1β, IL-8, TNF and ROS. Besides, it has antioxidative property, enhances cell-mediated immunity associated with healing and tissue repair, and also reduces the symptoms of respiratory tract infections.
Licorice can work well as a natural cough reliever and expectorant. It can help loosen mucus that helps to expel it from the lungs easily. Additionally, licochalcone, glycyrrhizin and flavonoid in licorice that have antiinflammatory and antibacterial properties so can ease a sore throat.
