VIETNAM HAS THE WORLD’S FIRST MANUFACTURING PLANT FOR PREFILLED SYRINGES FOR PETS

With nearly 35 years of experience and as a globally reputable Vietnamese company in the veterinary pharmaceutical sector, Vemedim products are officially certified for circulation in 52 countries worldwide, including the U.S., Australia, Europe, South Korea, and more.
In the context of the pet care industry in Vietnam and around the world growing strongly, dogs and cats are gradually becoming beloved little members of every family. However, they have more sensitive immune systems and constitutions than ordinary pets. Therefore, the use of treatment drugs must meet strict standards for purity, accurate dosage, and absolute safety. In fact, many cases of side effects, allergies, or secondary infections have been recorded due to the use of poor-quality products, manual packaging, or drugs with unsuitable packaging, including injections and improper storage of injectable drugs, as well as repeated withdrawal of medication from injectable vials that do not ensure sterility.
Fully aware of its role in enhancing the value of Vietnamese products and strengthening pet health protection, Vemedim has pioneered a new standard for pet products by boldly investing in two specialized production workshops dedicated exclusively to the pet product segment, with one of the most modern scales in Vietnam. (Most other manufacturers use the same workshop for all animal categories.)
The focus of the Pet Care workshop is the investment in two production lines for the world’s first pet products:
PREFILLED GLASS SYRINGE: technology from Tofflon Science and Technology.
BLOW FILL SEAL (medical plastic tube used to store oral medication): technology from Truking Technology Limited.
1./ PREFILLED GLASS SYRINGE
- Standard: FDA/EU GMP
- Capacity: 5,000 PFS tubes/hour
- Special features:
100% automated production line – from packaging handling (bag opening & Tyvek permeable cap removal) to filling, plunger insertion, and labeling – minimizing the risk of cross-contamination by limiting operator intervention.
Strict control in every process, ensuring 100% output quality.
Using pre-sterilized packaging in the filling process eliminates the washing and sterilization steps that are complex in traditional methods, thereby optimizing production efficiency and reducing the risk of contamination.
2./ BLOW FILL SEAL
- Standard: FDA, EU-GMP
- Capacity: 14,000 pcs/hour
- Special features:
Flexible conversion from oral tube production to multi-dose topical small bottle format.
Fully sealed filling in a Grade A clean air environment (the filling head and product are completely isolated from the external environment to ensure absolute sterility).
Continuous operation with large batches, saving heating energy and minimizing machine downtime.
All workshops at Vemedim meet the high-level GMP standards of the EU, FDA, PIC/S, and WHO. The company also owns a specialized animal breeding farm for laboratory animals to conduct preclinical and clinical trials according to GLP and AAALAC standards—high-level international standards that ensure legal and ethical requirements in research.
In addition to prefilled syringes and oral plastic tubes, the Pet Care workshop also produces specialized product lines such as stem cells, soft chewable tablets, eye drops, ear drops, and more.
