Within the framework of the Mekong Delta Sustainable Development Forum (SDMD) themed “Breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation in the new era,” held on December 19, 2025, Can Tho University (CTU) and Vemedim Corporation officially signed a Cooperation Agreement, focusing on research, development, and application of biological products in veterinary medicine to share knowledge and experience and promote cooperation in implementing research, application, and sustainable development activities in the Mekong Delta region.

On the CTU side were Prof. Dr. Ha Thanh Toan - Former Rector, SDMD 2045 Steering Committee; Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai - Vice Rector; along with leaders of training units, centers, and functional departments. In addition, the program was attended by departments and agencies of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta; and the leadership of Vemedim Corporation.

Within the program, CTU signed cooperation agreements with 07 partner units, marking an important step forward in the cooperative relationship among the parties and opening up many practical directions in the coming time. This is clear evidence of the University’s determination to concretize discussion outcomes into long-term, in-depth, and far-reaching cooperation commitments. Through the signed agreements, the Locality – Institute/University – Enterprise linkage model continues to be strengthened and expanded in a sustainable direction, creating a foundation for science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation to truly enter production and daily life, contributing to the comprehensive and long-term development of the Mekong Delta region.

The cooperation signing ceremony took place at the Administration Building - CTU, opening up opportunities and strategic vision in linking the development of the Mekong Delta veterinary sector
Under the agreement, CTU and Vemedim Corporation agreed to promote comprehensive cooperation in the research, development, and application of biological products in veterinary medicine in line with the functions, missions, and strengths of each party; thereby making practical contributions to the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta region and the country as a whole. Specifically, the cooperation agreement includes the following main contents:
1. The two sides cooperate in implementing research, development, and scientific application programs and projects at all levels, domestically and internationally, in the veterinary field;
2. Coordinate in researching and transferring scientific research results and appropriate technological processes for application and commercialization;
