HAI PHONG: PROMOTING CONNECTIONS TO BOOST POULTRY EGG SALES

HAI PHONG: PROMOTING CONNECTIONS TO BOOST POULTRY EGG SALES

On September 10, the Hai Phong Agricultural Extension Center, in coordination with Hai Dang Tourism Group JSC, organized a conference to promote, facilitate trade, and connect consumption of poultry and waterfowl egg products. The event attracted 130 delegates representing businesses, cooperatives, livestock farms, and many major customers.

GREAT POTENTIAL FROM THE EGG INDUSTRY

Currently, Hai Phong has a total poultry flock of about 26.1 million birds, with egg production reaching nearly 950.5 million eggs per year. With a population of more than 4.6 million after the administrative boundary expansion, the city is a promising market for poultry egg products, not only meeting local demand but also providing a stable supply for neighboring provinces.

According to the plan, by 2025, the city’s total poultry flock will continue to be maintained at 26.1 million birds, up more than 7% compared with 2021. Many livestock models have now applied high technology and automation to improve quality and productivity, notably:

  • Duy Nhat Cooperative (Tien Minh Commune)
  • Tran Gia Nong Trang (An Duong Ward)
  • Luong Hue Poultry Breeding JSC (An Phong Ward)
  • Chieu Vien Cooperative (Chan Hung Commune)

SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION CONNECTION

The conference was an opportunity to promote the brand of Hai Phong poultry and waterfowl egg products and to directly connect producers with supermarkets, distribution chains, restaurants, and processing facilities. Units were also encouraged to apply digital technology in promotion, traceability, e-commerce, and online sales.

The formation of sustainable consumption contracts will contribute to increasing value and expanding markets, and promote the development of Hai Phong egg product value chains in a stable and sustainable direction.
