According to information from the Sub-Department of Cooperative Economy and Quality Management, Quang Tri Province currently has 489 farms operating in various sectors: 8 crop farms, 225 livestock farms, 19 forestry farms, 79 aquaculture farms, and 158 mixed farms.
These farms are using about 3,777 hectares of production land, providing regular employment for 1,577 workers, with total production and business value in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries reaching more than VND 1.13 trillion.
Notably, 57 farms are applying high technology in production, contributing to improved efficiency and product quality. In addition, 64 farms have participated in production, processing, and product consumption linkages, creating sustainable value chains and supporting farmers’ economic development.
Mr. Hoang Tien Cuong, Director of the Sub-Department of Cooperative Economy and Quality Management, said that in the coming time, the unit will continue to strengthen management, inspection, and guidance so that farms can fully benefit from support policies. At the same time, it will intensify communication and dissemination of regulations to create a favorable legal framework, promoting the farm economy to develop further.
