First appearing in Vietnam in 2019, ASF - African Swine Fever has caused severe losses in the livestock industry. After a period of quiet, ASF is now showing signs of resurfacing with newer and more difficult-to-control developments. Of concern is that, to date, no vaccine has proven effective in controlling ASF.
On October 15, 2021, Vemedim Corporation, in collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Hải – Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, organized an online program: Vemedim - Dialogue with Experts, with the theme “Latest Updates on ASF – African Swine Fever.” A new feature of this program was a direct dialogue between the expert, Vemedim representatives, and farms to provide optimal solutions for controlling ASF outbreaks.
The program was held online via Zoom and livestreamed on the Vemedim-Bạn nhà chăn nuôi Facebook page, attracting a total of more than 450 live viewers and continuing to grow via the YouTube channel.
In particular, during the program: - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Hải provided many new updates on: epidemiology, clinical signs, testing - diagnosis, and disease control. - M.Sc. Nguyễn Thị Ánh Tuyết, representing Vemedim, presented initial information on the use of Interferon-P, Enroxic LA, and Glusome 115 in controlling ASF.
After the program, the optimal solution was recommended by the experts:
